Oh boy, have we got a mini cruise instore for you! Travel back in time as we bring a whole host of vintage entertainment with our host DJ Murray, as he presents to you the Swing Commanders and The Blitz Sisters in our Show Bar.
From the 30s right through to the 50s, the Swing Commanders will have you smiling as much as they will have you dancing and tapping your feet! You’ll experience a live show full of rhythms varying from ballads to jive to quicksteps.
Audiences around the UK, Europe and the US have enjoyed the energetic showmanship, intricate arrangements, and sophisticated vocal blends that this joyful band bring to the stage.
We also have The Blitz Sisters and Maggie Hush joining the stage throughout the night, bringing you all the toe tapping tunes from the 40s and 50s, and those beautiful classics from the World War II era – like the White cliffs of Dover.
It’s not just live entertainment that we have lined up for you either. ‘Get the Look’ with our Vintage Hair and Make-up stylists in our pop-up vintage beauty salon - run by The Up-Do Girls. Recreating authentic hair and make-up looks from the 1940’s and 1950’s. They’ll be taking bookings as soon as you board the Vintage Mini Cruise. Plus, Sailor Ian and his Dancing Dames are here to help you brush up on those vintage dance moves, whether you’re a beginner or a regular on the dance floor, they’ll be teaching everything from the Lindy Hop to the Charleston. So make sure you have your dancing shoes on!
Day Trip to Rotterdam
After a great night of vintage music, and a restful sleep in one of our en-suite cabins, you’ll arrive in to Rotterdam the following morning – meaning you’ll have the whole day ahead of you to explore.
Once you disembark the ship you’ll be hopping onto a coach to take you straight to the heart of Rotterdam. Rotterdam is a wonderful destination for lovers of vintage fashion and retro treasures. From authentic 1940s and 1950s clothing to accessories, homeware, and collectibles, the city is packed with specialist shops and hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
We are working closely with the Dutch Tourist Board to compile a dedicated vintage shopping pamphlet, highlighting the best traders, boutiques, and markets to visit during your day ashore. This will be provided to all Vintage Mini Cruise guests, making it easy to plan your own nostalgic shopping adventure.
